change and grief…

“Why is a caterpillar wrapped in silk while it changes into a butterfly? So the other caterpillars can’t hear the screams. Change hurts”

I’ve always loved butterflies. They’re not only special because of their obvious beauty, but they are miraculous. They remind me to hope. They remind me that the changes that God can do are worth hoping and waiting for.

I’m praying tonight that God brings about beautiful changes during this time in my life. I’m working on letting go of the way things “used to be” and I’m trying to move into this new season of life, but the grief that comes with it is so heartbreaking and overwhelming at times.  The only way I know to move through this is to cocoon myself in the comfort of God’s perfect plan.

English: Danaus plexippus

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”(Romans 8:28)
